About Dr. Harris
Dr. April L. Harris is a native Kansan, having grown up in Lawrence, Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The University of Kansas and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a graduate of The Helms Medical Institute, where she received her training in Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Harris is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment with Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. She has extensive clinical experience in the management of patients within the primary care and hospital settings. She has completed training in the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support through the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with her family. Her interests include travel, the study of languages and history, and listening to music. She enjoys walking outdoors and learning new ways to better practice a healthy lifestyle.
